Grünenthal in Italy is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to join Global Operations & Production. You’ll ensure material availability, manage MRP and POs, monitor supplier performance and support site priorities to keep production and delivery on track.

What the job looks like

Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

• Ensure the timely availability of materials and packaging components to support uninterrupted production and customer delivery


• Manage material requirements planning, purchase order generation and inventory schedules to balance supply, demand and stock targets


• Monitor supplier performance and collaborate with Procurement to drive service excellence and supply continuity


• Partner with Manufacturing, Warehouse and QA teams to resolve material-related issues and support site priorities


• Identify supply risks, proactively manage disruptions and implement mitigation actions to minimize impact on operations


• Manage inventory levels while considering warehouse capacity, cost optimization and obsolescence reduction


• Coordinate material supply changes, schedule adjustments and phase-in/phase-out activities throughout the product lifecycle


• Provide supplier and material planning insights to the S&OP process, ensuring transparency of risks and opportunities


• Prepare planning and performance reports, leveraging data analysis to support decision-making and continuous improvement


• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning efficiency, service levels and supply chain performance

What you’ll bring to the table

To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or scientific disciplines, Supply Chain, Operations or a related field.


• Experience in planning, manufacturing or supply chain environments, ideally within manufacturing environments in pharmaceutical, food, FMCG or comparable industries


• Fluency both in Italian and English, a third language would be considered a plus


• Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into actionable insights


• Knowledge of ERP and planning tools such as SAP, APO, SNP or OMP


• Excellent organizational, prioritization and stakeholder management skills


• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement

Your compensation package will include a performance-based annual bonus.
