Job summary

Sumitomo Drive Technologies USA is seeking a Warehouse Associate to load/unload, pick orders, replenish stock and move materials. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks and WAV devices, performing pre-shift checks and ensuring safe handling of products.

Purpose And Scope Of Job

• Primarily responsible for loading, unloading, order picking, stock replenishment, moving and stacking materials.

Essential Functions (other Duties May Be Assigned)

• Receive, unpack, check and store merchandise or materials
• Fill requisitions and orders
• Pack, crate and ship products and materials to departments or assembly lines
• Drive forklift, WAV (walk assist vehicle) or use pallet jack to move bulk products to the proper destination point.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate powered industrial equipment.
• Manual lifting will be required as part of regular daily work.
• Keep all direct work areas clean and well organized. Actively practice a culture of 5S (Sort, Set and Order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain) in the warehouse.
• Ensure all safety & regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at all times.
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Forklift experience
• Experience in operating at least one of the following: order picker, reach truck, turret truck, or swing reach truck
• General knowledge of warehouse procedures
• Two (2) years of material handling experience.
