Vermeer Corporation is seeking a diligent Material Handler to store and distribute materials across the manufacturing facility. You will move items using material handling equipment, read production schedules, and ensure placement by part numbers and codes.

The role requires forklift certification, good verbal and written communication, and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. This is an on-site first shift position with a focus on 5S and workplace organization.

• Successful completion of Vermeer forklift certification as required for the work location.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and manage priorities.
• Familiarity with material handling equipment and 5S/workplace organization principles.

Mansioni

• Read production schedules, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Move materials and items from receiving or production areas to designated areas throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Open boxes, crates, and other containers. Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to documented standard work, or predetermined sequence.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for material, tools, or other stock items and distribute to production work areas.
• Mark materials with identifying information.
• Weigh or count items for distribution to ensure conformance to standard work and company policy.
• Drive forklift or other material handling vehicles when necessary.
• Support 5S/workplace organization goals of the department and offer suggestions and make improvements.
