Job summary

Leonardo is seeking a Master Thesis student to support the Structural Analysis Team at Cascina Costa (also Brindisi) in helicopter structure research, coordinating with Design, Analysis, Certification & Qualification, and Manufacturing teams. The goal is to deliver a university thesis report.

You will work under the supervision of a tutor within Leonardo Helicopter Structures Dept., applying structural analysis methods and combining numerical and analytical approaches.

Qualifications

• Master degree ongoing in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering.
• Knowledge of structural failure criteria, fatigue and dynamic analysis.
• Experience with MSC NASTRAN, HyperMesh or Patran.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
• Internship with monthly €800 allowance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver research studies on helicopter structures.
• Collaborate with Design/Analysis/Certification & Qualification teams.
• Produce a final university thesis report with a dedicated tutor from Leonardo Helicopter Structures Dept.
