ADVANZ PHARMA is seeking a Director, Market Access & Biosimilar Lead for Italy, based in Milan (hybrid: 2 days on-site). The role combines strategic development of pricing, reimbursement and market access with hands-on execution across biosimilars launches and lifecycle management.

You will partner with Commercial, Medical and Global teams, influence national authorities, and manage regional access programs to drive access and growth.

Competenze

• Experience in Market Access within the Italian pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong experience across biosimilars, generics, hospital products or highly competitive access environments.
• Exposure to pricing & reimbursement processes and interactions with national and/or regional stakeholders (e.g. AIFA).

About the Role

As ADVANZ PHARMA continues to strengthen its position as the partner of choice for specialty, hospital and biosimilar medicines, we have an exciting opportunity for a Director, Market Access & Biosimilar Lead.

This is a high-impact role combining strategy and execution, with responsibility for pricing, reimbursement and market access across Italy, and a strong focus on biosimilar launches, performance and growth. Reporting directly to the GM, the role offers broad exposure across national and regional stakeholders, as well as global collaboration.

This opportunity could suit an established Market Access Director or an ambitious Senior Market Access Manager looking to take the next step into a broader leadership role.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and execute pricing, reimbursement and market access strategies to maximise access for the ADVANZ portfolio in Italy
• Support and contribute to discussions with national authorities, including AIFA, and regional stakeholders
• Lead biosimilar portfolio strategy across pre-launch, launch and lifecycle management
• Partner closely with Commercial, Medical and Global teams to ensure successful biosimilar launches and long-term market performance
• Work alongside the Tender Manager and wider business to support successful tender participation and execution
• Lead and develop the Regional Access Team, including Regional Access Managers and Tender Manager
• Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Medical, Supply, Customer and Global Market Access teams
• Prepare and contribute to HTA dossiers, and guide the generation of pharmaco-economic and real-world evidence
• Track competitor pricing, market dynamics and access opportunities
• Implement and monitor key KPIs linked to access performance, launch readiness and commercial success

About You

For this role, you will also have the following:

Qualifications:

• Life sciences degree or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Experience in Market Access within the Italian pharmaceutical industry
• Strong experience across biosimilars, generics, hospital products or highly competitive access environments
• Exposure to pricing & reimbursement processes and interactions with national and/or regional stakeholders (e.g. AIFA)
• Understanding of tender processes and procurement environments within Italy
• Experience leading teams or readiness to step into a broader people leadership role
• Experience supporting product launches and launch access planning
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced environment
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Learning agility and scalability, with a desire to continuously grow as ADVANZ PHARMA evolves
• Work collaboratively across all business functions with an open, honest and respectful approach
• Fluency in Italian and English

Highly Preferred:

• Experience within hospital and tender-driven markets
• Launch experience within biosimilars, generics or specialty medicines

106,250 to 125,000

Our salary range reflects the full scope of the role and level, it has been set using objective, gender-neutral criteria. Final offers to successful candidates are determined based on factors throughout the recruitment process such as relevant experience, skills, market benchmarks, and equitable internal compensation practices.

Bonus:

Annual Bonus Plan: 30% of base salary

Annual bonus is paid once per year, in accordance with local legislation and subject to company and individual performance.
