Job summary

RINA is recruiting a Maritime and Blue Economy Innovation R&D Project Manager in Genova, within the Marine Market Development division. The role targets a candidate registered under Italian Law 68/99 (protected category) and focuses on managing funded innovation projects from proposal to execution.

The role requires 3–7 years in R&D or project management, plus experience with EU or national funding programs and strong stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications

• Mandatory: registered as a protected category candidate under Italian Law 68/99 (collocamento mirato).
• 3–7 years of experience in R&D or project management.
• Experience with EU or national funding programs.
• Ability to manage stakeholders and project teams.
• Good level of autonomy.
• DOMAIN & BUSINESS ACUMEN and FORESIGHT & INSIGHT—systemic thinking and informed decision making.

Responsibilities

• Proposal development: analyze call requirements, define scope, coordinate teams, prepare content, develop budgets, manage submissions.
• Project coordination and delivery: set up teams, ensure communication, monitor performance, optimize resources.
• Financial management: monitor revenues, costs, margins, assist invoicing and data accuracy.
• Risk and issue management: identify, manage, resolve difficulties, support improvements.
• Quality assurance: ensure deliverables meet standards and align with requirements.
• Stakeholder management: manage clients, partners, funding bodies; collaborate with internal functions.
• Innovation activities: ensure compliance with funding rules and promote exploitation.
