The role focuses on promoting and ensuring the application of safety and nautical management policies on board. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in a similar position, alongside good English skills (B2) and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Responsibilities

• Promote implementation and ensure application of management policies and procedures relating to safety, security, environment and nautical on board the fleet and ensure adoption and use of related management programs.
• Propose updates and revisions to safety manuals and procedures to the Safety & Nautical Operations Manager.
• Ensure that training and information requirements are met for all personnel on board to ensure correct application of rules and procedures.
• Carry out first‑level inspection visits to verify application of relevant procedures.
• Report any needs regarding safety, security, environment, deck and bridge instruments, equipment and systems, submitting them to the Safety & Nautical Operations Manager.
• Implement corrective actions identified by government visits, internal and external audits and ship inspections, as required by company’s non‑conformity management procedure.
• Ensure that assigned vessels are correctly informed of any updated, new or repealed regulations regarding safety, security, environment and nautical matters.

Qualifications

• Qualification as First Officer and/or Engineer, or degree in Nautical and Aeronautical Sciences or Naval Engineering.
• At least 3 years of prior experience in a similar role.
• Good knowledge of English language (B2).
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
