Baker Hughes is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Production at its Talamona plant in Lombardy, Italy. The role focuses on designing, optimizing and sustaining high-efficiency manufacturing processes for turbomachinery components, with emphasis on lean principles and cross-functional collaboration.

You will work with CAD tools, automate workflows, and train staff while ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld in a high-volume environment. Fluency in English and Italian is expected.

Competenze

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods.
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork, bilingual English/Italian.
  • Automation/robotics experience is a plus; CAD tools proficiency is a plus.

  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency.

Partner with the best As a Manufacturing Engineer at Baker Hughes you will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards of quality. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and improve manufacturing systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with product design and development teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
  • Conduct time studies and workflow analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues to minimize downtime and ensure product quality.
  • Evaluate and recommend new equipment, technologies, and methods to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
  • Train and support production staff in the implementation of new processes and technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Serve as the technical reference for the Manufacturing Engineering team, ensuring adherence to standards and supporting continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role ideally you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field or proven experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in a high-volume production environment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Fluent in English and Italian.
  • Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing is a plus.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools is a plus

The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 31,494 To 51,000

The provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied to this position. Section VI – Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay.
