Job summary

SIMIC in Italy is seeking a hands‑on technician to join the operations department, focusing on electrical maintenance, plant operation, and maintenance of water treatment facilities. The role emphasizes ensuring continuous operation, compliance with regulations, and clear reporting of any anomalies.

You will monitor processes, assist with maintenance tasks, and contribute to the documentation and optimization of plant performance.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma in electrical, mechanical, chemical, or related field.
• Experience—even minimal—in managing industrial water treatment and purification systems.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and electromechanical maintenance.
• Good learning ability and aptitude for hands‑on work.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to manage priorities.
• Ability to work in a team and handle technical interactions with customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate water treatment plants and electrical panels.
• Monitor plant operations and report malfunctions.
• Compile technical documentation and reports on work performed.

Job description

The candidate will be assigned to the operations department and will be trained in the operation, management, and maintenance of plant facilities, with a particular focus on electrical maintenance tasks.

This position involves a dynamic, technical-operational role, with responsibilities related to the management and operation of industrial water, wastewater, process water, and drinking water treatment plants, ensuring their proper functioning and contributing to operational continuity and compliance with environmental regulations.

The candidate will also perform electrical maintenance on water treatment plants and electrical panels, as well as provide support for routine and non-routine maintenance of electromechanical components. They will also be involved in the operational monitoring of the plants, reporting any malfunctions or anomalies, and managing the need for corrective action. The role will also involve compiling technical documentation and reports related to the work performed, thereby contributing to the proper operation, efficiency, and optimization of processes and facilities.

Requirements

• Technical diploma (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field);
• Experience—even minimal—in managing industrial water treatment and purification systems;
• Basic knowledge of electrical and electromechanical maintenance;
• Good learning ability and aptitude for hands‑on work;
• Problem‑solving skills and ability to manage priorities;
• Ability to work in a team and handle technical interactions with customers;
• Class B driver’s license;
• PES/PAV certifications are preferred (not required).
