Hypertherm Associates cerca Operatore CNC Esperto per la linea Laser Consumables a Sasso Marconi. Eseguirai operazioni CNC complesse, monitorerai la qualità e parteciperai al miglioramento continuo in un ambiente orientato alla sicurezza e al valore per il cliente.

La posizione prevede orari diurni iniziali con rotazione turni e possibilità di turni notturni futuri; compenso commisurato all’esperienza tra 30.000 e 35.000 € all’anno e 13 mensilita'.

Competenze

  • Diploma superiore o equivalente.
  • Esperienza comprovata come Operatore CNC.
  • Buona conoscenza di macchine CNC, terminologia, componenti e tooling.
  • Capacita' di lettura di documentazione tecnica e disegni.
  • Conoscenza principi Lean e miglioramento continuo.

Mansioni

  • Operare in modo indipendente macchine CNC complesse e processi di produzione.
  • Assicurare continuita' di produzione e rispetto delle consegne.
  • Migliorare le prestazioni delle macchine tramite manutenzione autonoma.
  • Identificare opportunità di miglioramento con Lean e sistemi ad alte prestazioni.
  • Partecipare a iniziative di miglioramento (Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, value stream).
  • Documentare stato macchina e attività per un corretto passaggio di turno.
  • Fornire supporto e formazione ai colleghi nell'area.
  • Operare nel rispetto di linee guida aziendali e valori.

We are looking for an Experienced Machine Operator to join our Laser Consumables team at Esse A in Sasso Marconi, Italy, who wants to grow professionally in a collaborative environment focused on quality and continuous improvement.

Language Requirement

Conoscenza della lingua italiana. Candidates must be able to read, write and speak Italian with near‑native proficiency in professional and technical contexts.

Position Purpose

The successful candidate will use technical skills and experience to operate and maintain production processes efficiently, contributing to the delivery of products that exceed customer expectations in terms of quality, timeliness, performance, and value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently perform complex CNC operations and production processes (machining, inspections, and testing) in the assigned department, in compliance with procedures, standard work and quality requirements.
  • Ensure production continuity and adherence to scheduled deliveries.
  • Improve machine performance by reducing downtime through proper autonomous maintenance, cleaning and timely reporting of issues.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using Lean principles and high‑performance systems.
  • Actively participate in process improvement initiatives (e.g. Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, value stream mapping).
  • Effectively document and communicate machine status, completed activities and any irregularities to ensure smooth shift handovers.
  • Act as a technical point of reference, providing support, coaching, training and certification (formal and informal) to other associates in the area.
  • Operate in full compliance with company guidelines, including safety, quality and Hypertherm Associates’ values.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Operator.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machines (terminology, machine types, components, setups and tooling).
  • Experience using measurement tools accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation and mechanical drawings.
  • Basic math skills (fractions/decimals, metric–imperial conversions, basic geometry, Cartesian system).
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Basic problem‑solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in computer use and Microsoft Office.
Working Hours and Shift Rotation
  • Initial schedule: 08:00 – 17:00 (during onboarding/probationary period).
  • After probation: alternating weekly shifts: 06:00 – 14:45 and 14:30 – 23:15.

In the future, the operator must also be available to rotate into the night shift.

Compensation

Base gross annual salary (13 payments): €30,000 – €35,000, based on actual skill level and experience.

Shift Premiums
  • +15% for hours worked after 6:00 PM.
  • +30% for hours worked after 10:00 PM.
