We are currently looking for a Legal Counsel to join our team, part of our Legal Technical Contracts Division based in Milan. By joining this role, you’ll play a vital role in our company’s effort to provide guidance on development projects at all stages, collaborating with other development lawyers across Europe.

Responsibilities
  • Review, draft, and negotiate EPC and O&M contracts, as well as agreements related to the supply chain (e.g., service contracts, general terms and conditions for the supply of goods), ensuring client interests are protected in collaboration with both internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Provide legal support across a broad spectrum of activities within Renewables Business Unit, including business development, origination, permitting, M&A, corporate transactions, PPAs, project financing, and construction—primarily in Italy and Eastern Europe
  • Advise stakeholders on legal frameworks, regulations, and compliance matters relevant to the construction and energy sectors
  • Conduct in-depth legal research to ensure that all counsel provided is aligned with the latest legislation and regulatory developments, in coordination with the Senior Legal Counsel
  • Collaborate with external legal advisors to address and resolve complex legal matters
  • Coordinate and structure legal workflows and responsibilities in close alignment with the Senior Legal Counsel and Head of Legal
Qualifications
  • Qualified lawyer in Italy and member of the relevant professional body (Bar Association)
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of legal experience in the renewable energy sector in Italy, either in-house or within law firms advising energy clients
  • Strong technical expertise in renewable energy project development, acquisitions and disposals, EPC and O&M contracts, and PPAs, ideally with exposure to both Italian and broader European markets
  • Proven ability to manage external legal counsel, including obtaining fee quotes and overseeing legal spend within predefined budgets
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a strong focus on collaboration and cross-functional coordination
