Job summary

RWS is seeking Legal Annotators to support AI training for contract management platforms in Italian. This freelance, remote role offers part-time hours (~25+ per week) with immediate start.

Tasks include multilingual data collection, evaluation, and annotation of international contracts, focusing on clauses, obligations, and terms. The ideal candidate has contract/legal domain expertise, fluent English andItalian, and optionally experience with AI data annotation and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Legal expertise in contracts and cross‑jurisdictional terms.
• Fluency in English plus target language (Italian).
• Experience in data annotation or ML data evaluation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform multilingual legal data tasks across international contracts.
• Annotate, evaluate and review contract clauses, obligations and terms.
• Participate in onboarding, calibration, and quality reviews.
• Collaborate in secure client environments on multi-use-case workflows.

The role involves performing specialized legal data-related tasks across international business contracts, including:

• Multilingual legal-domain data collection, evaluation, and annotation

• Participating in onboarding, calibration sessions, and targeted quality reviews
• Collaborating on multi-use-case workflows within secure client environments

What We’re Looking For:

• Legal Expertise: Contract or legal domain expertise, with strong legal interpretation and contract-review skills (especially regarding international and cross-jurisdictional contracts)
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English alongside the relevant target language
• AI & Data Capabilities (Preferred): Prior data-annotation experience or familiarity with machine learning data evaluation and quality assurance tasks
