IOTA Group in Italy is seeking a Lead Umbilical Engineer to drive Umbilical and FOC engineering for the Absheron SURF package, lead fabrication oversight, and support installation and commissioning activities offshore.

The role requires 15+ years in oil & gas, deep subsea Umbilical expertise, and proven experience across deepwater, nearshore, and onshore interfaces, with strong QA/QC and H3SE commitment. Location: Fano, Italy, with international travel.

Qualifications

Minimum 15 years of Oil & Gas project experience.
Strong specialist experience in subsea Umbilical engineering and installation.
Proven experience in deepwater and shallow-water Umbilicals.
FOC engineering and installation, including nearshore and landfall.
Umbilical design, manufacturing, qualification, testing and offshore installation.
Knowledge of international codes, standards, regulations and Company Specifications/Rules.
Strong QA/QC, NDT and metallurgy.
Experience with FAT, SAT, PQT and qualification activities.
Strong contractor, vendor and multidisciplinary interface management skills.
Experience on large-scale, complex offshore/subsea projects.
Strong H3SE awareness and safe working practices.
Excellent technical, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to undertake international travel and worldwide mobility.

Responsabilités

Lead Umbilical and FOC engineering activities within the SURF package.
Act as the technical focal point for Umbilical and FOC matters.
Review and approve Contractor/Vendor technical documentation, queries and deviations.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, Company Rules, international codes and standards.
Coordinate Umbilical and FOC interfaces with SURF, SPS, Telecom, Onshore and Installation teams.
Supervise manufacturing and fabrication activities at Contractor/Vendor facilities.
Monitor QA/QC, H3SE and technical compliance during fabrication and testing.
Follow up FAT, SAT, PQT, qualification and other testing activities.
Support Umbilical and FOC installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
Identify and resolve technical issues, risks and interface challenges.
Participate in technical reviews, workshops and project meetings.
Provide technical reporting and support to the SURF Technical Manager.
Support project close-out and capture lessons learned.
