Job summary

Exein S.p.a. is seeking a hands-on Legal Manager to own the legal function at the intersection of AI, cybersecurity and technology. You will report to the CFO and collaborate with Product, Engineering and Security to ensure compliance and scalable processes.

You will negotiate complex technology and SaaS contracts, manage regulatory matters (GDPR, AI Act, NIS2) and support international expansion while maintaining a proactive risk-aware approach.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Law and bar admission.
• 4+ years experience in top law firm or in-house counsel.
• Autonomous, prioritizes and makes business-oriented decisions.
• Experience negotiating tech, commercial, cybersecurity and SaaS contracts.
• Knowledge of IT law, tech transactions and data protection.
• Familiarity with GDPR, CRA, AI Act and NIS2.

Responsibilities

• Lead the legal function and set priorities, templates, and standards.
• Advise on strategic, commercial, product and operational decisions.
• Be the main legal contact for customers, partners, suppliers, investors and external counsel.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Security to address regulatory implications of new technologies.
• Oversee privacy, data protection and compliance by design across products and services.
• Support fundraising, M&A due diligence and data room activities.
