Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a Senior Project Engineer - Heat Pumps to lead complex testing, certification, and evaluation programs for residential and commercial heat pump technologies. You will drive technical excellence, coordinate with manufacturers, and influence industry standards while expanding service capabilities across the HVAC sector.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in mechanical/energy/HVAC engineering and 10+ years in heat pump tech or HVAC performance testing.
• Experience with certification, testing, product development or standards development.

Responsibilities

• Lead heat pump certification and testing projects from engagement to final certification.
• Define scope, testing requirements, costs, timelines and deliverables.
• Review docs, designs and test data to ensure standards compliance.
• Provide technical recommendations and solve complex engineering challenges.
• Represent the organization on technical committees and with industry partners.
