KPIT is seeking a Lead Autosar Software Engineer in Italy to support VHIL labs, production, and pre-production plant setups. The role demands hands-on debugging of embedded software on microcontrollers, AUTOSAR stacks, and FOTA processes, with travel to plants for on-site resolutions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in embedded software, strong AUTOSAR and cybersecurity knowledge, and the ability to lead a distributed team across multiple sites. English and Italian fluency are required.

Competenze

Embedded software development experience with C/C++
Strong AUTOSAR concepts, architecture and specs
Experience configuring AUTOSAR basic software stack (OS, COM, DIAG, MEM)
Experience with MCAL configuration and hardware abstraction
Knowledge of multicore architectures and functional safety
Cybersecurity concepts and HSM configuration

Mansioni

Debug and triage embedded software issues in Plant, VHIL and Production setups.
Travel to production plants as required for on-site issue resolution.
Support bring-up and troubleshooting of bootloaders, AUTOSAR OS, HWIO, COM, DCM, MEM stacks.
Work with Automotive Ethernet and SOME/IP.
Assist diagnostic flashing processes (UDS-based, DoIP) and plant reprogramming workflows.
Develop and maintain tools/scripts for log capture, debugging, and flashing workflows.
Ensure comprehensive diagnostic coverage (UDS, DoIP, SOME/IP, OBD-II).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for root-cause analysis and resolution.
Document root causes, workarounds, and lessons learned.
