Luxoft is seeking an Electrical Wiring Design Engineer to develop and lay out wiring harnesses for automotive applications. You will design schematics, 2D/3D layouts, and define signal routing across ECUs, sensors and actuators while ensuring correct wire types, sizes, shielding and insulation.

The role requires knowledge of CAN/LIN/Ethernet networks, power distribution concepts, and EMC/EMI basics, with collaboration across hardware teams to ensure robust integration.

• Ability to calculate wire sizing and voltage drop.
• Knowledge of vehicle networks CAN, LIN, Ethernet.
• Fusing and protection concepts.

Ensure the development of electric and electronic hardware solutions with wellbalanced performance steps, delivering with quality and with modular scalability to support the transition to platform all company brands

Responsibilities

Design of Wiring Systems

Creates schematics and 2D/3D layouts of wiring harnesses.

Defines how electrical signals and power are routed between components (ECUs, sensors, actuators, HMIs, etc.).

Ensures correct wire types, sizes, shielding, and insulation.

Skills

Must have

Understanding of:

• Voltage, current, power distribution
• Signal types (analog, digital, high-speed data like Ethernet)

Ability to:

• Calculate wire sizing and voltage drop
• Ensure correct fusing and protection concepts

Knowledge of:

• Vehicle communication networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)

General requirement

Solid understanding of:

• Electrical fundamentals (voltage, current, power)
• Wiring systems and circuit design

Knowledge of:

• Vehicle communication systems (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
