Wabtec in Bergamo, Lombardy, Italy is seeking a Laboratory Manager to lead laboratory operations, validation activities and testing for Bogie Brake products. You will ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and compliance with quality requirements while maintaining test benches and equipment.

You will work with Engineering, Quality, Production and Project teams, and report to the Engineering Manager. Fluency in Italian and English is required, with a proven background in metrology and ISO 17025

Competenze

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in laboratory, validation or testing activities.
• Experience managing resources and budgets.
• Knowledge of metrology.
• Experience with laboratory accreditations and ISO 17025.
• Fluent Italian and English.

Mansioni

• Manage daily laboratory operations and testing activities.
• Plan and coordinate validation tests.
• Manage laboratory resources, priorities and budget.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and accreditation requirements.
• Review and approve test reports.
• Work with internal teams, suppliers and external laboratories.
• Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain laboratory organization and 5S standards.
