Job summary

Keysight Technologies SAles Spain SL. is seeking a Wireless Protocol Software Engineer to drive L3 protocol stack development for advanced 5G and pre-6G wireless systems in Milano.

You will translate evolving 3GPP specs into robust software components and work closely with cross-functional teams across sites to reproduce field issues and validate fixes. The role requires strong 3GPP LTE/NR experience, C/C++, multi-threading, and English communication in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with 3GPP LTE/NR and L3 protocols (RRC) in wireless stacks.
• Proficient in C/C++ with multi-threading and real-time programming.
• Experience working in a multi-site international environment and strong debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize the L3 protocol stack (RRC).
• Support UE emulation.
• Contribute to 5G standards and 3GPP evolution.
• Translate evolving requirements into designs, test workflows, and reusable components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reproduce field issues and validate fixes with root-cause discipline.
