Officina Stellare S.p.A is seeking a Junior System Engineer to assist in defining requirements and supporting system verification for spaceborne optical systems. You will work across the project lifecycle, contributing to architectures, interfaces and performance analyses.

The role emphasizes collaboration within multidisciplinary teams, with a focus on system-level engineering and documentation, in a hybrid work environment in Italy.

Competenze

• Master's degree in electronics or related field is required or expected.
• Solid grasp of systems engineering principles and lifecycle phases.
• Knowledge of system integration, verification and validation processes.
• Familiarity with ECSS standards is an advantage.

At Officina Stellare, we design and develop advanced optical payloads and systems for Space, Scientific Research, Defense and Aerospace applications.

We are looking for a Junior System Engineer to support the development of spaceborne optical systems throughout the project lifecycle, from system definition and requirements management to integration, verification and validation activities.

The ideal candidate is passionate about Space technologies, system-level engineering and multidisciplinary projects, and is eager to develop technical expertise within a highly innovative environment.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO

• Support the definition and maintenance of system and subsystem requirements;
• Contribute to requirements allocation, traceability and verification activities;
• Assist in the development and maintenance of system architectures and technical budgets;
• Support the analysis of mission requirements and their translation into system performance specifications;
• Contribute to interface definition and management activities between payloads, spacecraft and ground segment elements;
• Participate in system performance analyses and technical trade-off evaluations;
• Support Assembly, Integration and Verification (AIV/AIT) activities, including test preparation and execution;
• Contribute to payload and system performance validation activities;
• Prepare and maintain system engineering documentation and technical reports;
• Support the preparation of technical reviews, including SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR and AR;
• Participate in configuration management and requirements baseline maintenance activities;
• Support non-conformance and anomaly investigation activities;

YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SYSTEM ENGINEER

• Master's Degree in Electronics Engineering or related technical discipline;
• Basic understanding of Systems Engineering principles and development lifecycles;
• Understanding of system integration, verification and validation concepts;
• Basic knowledge of Space system architectures and subsystem interactions;
• Familiarity with engineering documentation and technical reporting;
• Knowledge of ECSS standards and Space engineering processes is considered a plus;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams;
• Fluent in Italian and English, written and spoken.

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE

• Up to 3 years of professional experience in System Engineering, Electro-Opitcs Systems, Passive and Active Systems;

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Working time: full time, hybrid as per the internal policy;

• Annual Compensation: 27.000€ – 33.000€ based on the candidate's experience
