Job summary

NHOA Group is seeking a Junior Software & SCADA Developer to join our Software Engineering team in Cosio Valtellino. You will support development and integration of control software, HMI and SCADA solutions for energy storage systems while working with engineering and project teams across the full lifecycle, including on-site commissioning.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate or technical diploma holder with up to 2 years of experience in software development, automation or similar fields.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related fields or a high-school technical diploma.
• Basic knowledge of PLC development tools (e.g. TIA Portal).
• Familiarity with HMI/SCADA development tools such as WinCC or similar platforms.
• Understanding of industrial communication protocols and networking principles.
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts in OT environments.
• Ability to read and understand control system documentation (electrical schematics, P&ID diagrams, software specifications).
• Willingness to travel internationally for commissioning activities and site assignments.
• Good command of English and Italian, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Support development of control software for NHOA systems per Control Engineering specifications.
• Develop HMI and SCADA applications per project requirements and standards.
• Configure and integrate control hardware; ensure PLC/SCADA communication.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity team for secure OT configurations.
• Assist in factory or supplier testing; document results and troubleshoot issues.
• Support site commissioning activities and ensure proper system integration.
• Maintain documentation of software configurations and system architecture.
• Provide second-level support to service teams for issue resolution.
