Job summary

RINA invites applications for a Junior Site Software Application Engineer to join our Digital Product & Platform Engineering division, working across Venegono (Varese) and Turin. You will assist licensed engineers in development, integration, and testing of software components within complex simulation platforms, and contribute to technical specs and reports.

A background in software development with interest in modelling, simulation and real-time systems is preferred, with hands-on work across

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Entry-level experience is required.
• Proficiency in Visual Studio Code, Microsoft Visual Studio, C++, Git, Docker.
• Proficiency in Linux-based distributions and Unix commands.
• Fluency in written and spoken Italian and English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Engineering Projects: Support licensed engineers in the preparation of design calculations, drafting, and designing Engineering projects.
• Technical Documentation: Provide assistance in writing Technical specifications, reports, and conducting inspections and studies under the supervision of licensed engineers.
• Computer-Assisted Engineering: Utilize CAE and design or integrate software and equipment to perform Engineering tasks.
• Field Work and Maintenance: perform fieldwork tasks such as obtaining Field information, checking installations, troubleshooting, and participating in equipment and system Maintenance and repair.
• Safety and Security: Observe Safety and Security procedures and ensure proper use of equipment and materials.
