Job summary

Vertiv in Italy is seeking a process engineer to join the team under the supervision of the Senior Process Engineer. The role focuses on process optimisation tests, analysis of defective components, and producing detailed technical reports.

Candidates should have technical education or an engineering degree, 2–3 years in metalworking, and a practical, problem-solving mindset. Travel within Italy and abroad may be required.

Qualifications

• Technical education or engineering degree (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Plant or Electrical).
• 2–3 years in metalworking, preferably in material transformation (heat treatment or forming).
• Technical and scientific approach to work.
• Curiosity and interest in understanding and solving multidisciplinary technological problems.
• Knowledge of materials, brazing or welding, industrial systems, machinery or automation is a bonus.
• English knowledge preferred.
• Willingness to travel within Italy and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Conduct process optimisation tests and prepare technical reports.
• Analyse defective components via sample preparation, machine log-file evaluation and direct process monitoring.
• Define and prepare work instructions and machine operating instructions for production departments.
• Support consolidation of the company’s technical know-how by preparing dedicated process documentation.
• Provide support during non-routine maintenance activities and collect detailed technical information relating to machinery and manufacturing processes.
