CGS in Milano seeks a Short-term Trader & algo-developer for the Italian gas & power market. You will join the Power trading team to maximize profitability and manage risk through trading and logistics strategies.

The role covers short-term demand forecasts, intraday trading, gas portfolio optimization, development of automated trading tools, and XBID market strategy, with emphasis on data analysis and backtesting to drive positive P&L.

Competenze

Bachelor's degree in economics, engineering, finance, or related field.
1 to 2 years of experience in power trading, logistics, or energy sector.
Fluency in Italian and English (oral and written).
Strong analytical and teamwork skills.
Experience in programming and data analysis using Python and SQL.

Mansioni

Short-term demand forecasts.
Execute intraday trading in the Italian Power market to capitalize on fluctuations.
Monitor and optimize the gas portfolio, limiting risk.
Support trading strategies with data analysis and backtesting.
Lead algo-trading projects focusing on the Italian XBID market.
Forecast and control market guarantees and regulatory requirements.
Program and nominate gas storage operations and participate in capacity auctions.
Support short-term trading and operational activities in the power market.
