Encavis AG is seeking a Short-Term Trading Analyst for Italy, joining a data-driven trading team focused on day-ahead, intraday, and ancillary services markets. The role combines quantitative analysis with hands-on execution to scale Encavis’ power trading footprint in one of Europe’s dynamic energy markets.

You will work with traders, IT and portfolio teams to translate data into actionable insights, develop and implement strategies, and monitor performance, while collaborating across English-

Competenze

• Degree in engineering, economics, mathematics or physical sciences or a comparable quantitative field.
• At least one year of professional experience in short-term power trading in Italy.
• Strong statistical analysis and modelling skills; knowledge of stochastic and fundamental models.
• Experience with meteorological or commodity market data is a plus.

Mansioni

• Market Entry & Trading Expansion: support the expansion into Italian day-ahead and intraday markets.
• Trading Infrastructure Setup: work with partners to set up initial trading infrastructure in Italy.
• Development of Trading Strategies: develop profitable strategies for day-ahead, intraday and ancillary services markets.
• Algo-Trading Implementation: collaborate to design and implement algorithmic trading strategies.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization: monitor daily trading performance and optimize activities.
• Data Analysis & Modelling: apply statistical methods and models to analyze market data and forecast.
