Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Italy SpA in Monfalcone is seeking a skilled Fitter to fabricate metal parts for heavy steelworks, reporting to the Nuclear Fabrication Manager and working on site at Monfalcone.

Candidates must hold a technical diploma in mechanics and have at least 2 years’ experience as a Fitter; familiarity with WPS and mechanical drawings is required, along with the ability to use measuring instruments.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or vocational qualification in mechanics
• At least 2 years experience as a Fitter in heavy steelworks
• Familiar with WPS and mechanical drawings

Responsibilities

• Align shells, heads and nozzles
• Assemble components using equipment and hand tools
• Check the conformity of prepared parts against specifications using measuring instruments
• Assemble fabricated structures
• Prepare joints for welding following the WPS
• Operate in the CCR (Clean Condition Room)
• Comply with company procedures (safety, quality, risk and security)
