Job summary

Clara is seeking a Data Scientist to build, deploy, and maintain ML models in a collaborative, remote-friendly environment in Italy.

You will work with SQL, Python, and Git, collaborate with data engineers, and create clear visualizations to support business decisions. This role offers a hybrid schedule and opportunities to grow in a fast-paced fintech team.

You will participate in data-driven projects across teams and help shape Clara's data strategy.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of data science experience.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Git.
• Experience with ML frameworks (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
• Familiarity with AWS and Databricks.
• Understanding of data science best practices.
• Willingness to research and learn.
• Good English level.

We are looking for someone who will:

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience as a Data Scientist
  Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Git.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
• Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP).
• Familiarity with AWS and Databricks.
• Understanding of data science best practices.
• Ability to say ‘I don’t know’ and willingness to research and find solutions.
• Good english level.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Corporate Bill Pay and Spend Management: Familiarity with corporate bill pay, credit card, and spend management products.
• Data Visualization Tools: Experience with data visualization tools such as Metabase, QuickSight, and Databricks.
• Programming Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or R for data analysis and modeling.
• A/B Testing and Experimentation: Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests to drive product decisions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the financial sector, especially those relevant to Latin America.

Claridians in a hybrid mode split their time between working from the office, talking to or visiting customers, or working from home. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for each individual and team.

We don’t enforce a minimum number of days for most roles, but you’re expected to spend time at the office organically, and be at the office most days during your ramp-up or when required by your leader.
