Job summary

KPMG Italy is offering an internship in Data & Analytics on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). You will model data, build dashboards, and create data flows with SAP tools, collaborating with experienced colleagues to deliver client solutions.

The role focuses on SQL, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and cloud data technologies. A STEM degree and willingness to travel in Italy and abroad are preferred. Hybrid work and training are provided.

Qualifications

• Recent graduates in STEM fields are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of SQL and data modelling basics.
• Familiarity with Python or BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) is a plus.
• Interest in data analysis and cloud technologies.
• Good English and teamwork.
• Willingness to travel in Italy and abroad as needed.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to data modelling in SAP Datasphere.
• Build dashboards and reports with SAP Analytics Cloud.

• Write SQL queries on SAP HANA Cloud.

By joining the Enterprise Platform Team you will start a growth path in Data & Analytics on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), working alongside more experienced colleagues to manage, model and visualise data for our clients.

Specifically, you will:

• Contribute to data modelling in SAP Datasphere, the solution that integrates and organises data from different systems.
• Support the team in building dashboards and reports with SAP Analytics Cloud, the tools users rely on to analyse their data.
• Take part in building data flows from SAP and non-SAP systems, handling extraction, transformation and loading.
• Write SQL queries and views on SAP HANA Cloud to prepare data for analysis.
• Gain hands-on exposure to the planning features of SAP Analytics Cloud, used for budgeting and forecasting.
• Carry out data quality checks, take care of documentation and support the team during the go-live of solutions.

This opportunity is perfect for you if you:

• Are about to graduate or have recently graduated in Computer Science, Computer or Management Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or another STEM discipline.
• Have knowledge of SQL and the basics of data modelling and relational databases.
• Are familiar with Python or Business Intelligence tools (for example Power BI or Tableau), which is considered a plus.
• Have a genuine interest in data analysis and cloud technologies, even with no previous SAP experience.
• Have a good command of English and enjoy working in a team.
• Are willing to travel in Italy and abroad according to project needs.

• This opportunity is offered as either a paid internship offering a monthly allowance of €800 for curricular internships and €1,000 for extracurricular internships or a standard employment contract under the collective labour agreement for the commerce sector, with a starting gross annual salary of €30,000. The salary is determined on the basis of objective criteria, including educational qualifications and an assessment of the candidate’s profile against the requirements of the role.
