dentsu Creative in Milan is seeking a Junior Art Director intern focused on Generative AI. You will collaborate with Art Directors and Creative Directors to develop concepts for ATL and digital campaigns, translating briefs into AI-assisted visuals with traditional tools.

The role offers a 6-month internship with €800 monthly compensation, hybrid working, and opportunities for professional growth within a global agency.

Competenze

We are looking for a Junior Art director for an internship opportunity in Milan, with a focus on Generative AI.

You will work closely with Art Directors, Creative Directors and other Dentsu Creative teams to develop and prototype concepts for above-the-line (ATL) campaigns for mass media and digital campaigns. You will respond to client briefs by combining art direction, visual culture and experimentation with new tools and workflows.

You will explore the visual applications of Generative AI and learn how to turn creative briefs into professional-quality concepts, prototypes and executions using both traditional and AI-enabled creative tools.

Job Description:

Key responsibilities

• Develop visual concepts and imagery that represent ideas in new and innovative ways.
• Support Art Directors and Creative Directors in the development and prototyping of creative ideas.
• Explore different applications of Generative AI, with a particular focus on image generation, visual experimentation and creative production.
• Use Generative AI as part of the creative process, from early-stage exploration and ideation to prototyping and execution.
• Apply creative thinking to technological challenges and use AI to develop new creative solutions.
• Support senior creatives in developing projects that use AI throughout, learning how to select and combine AI models, tools and workflows for each creative challenge.
• Develop the visual and cultural judgement needed to guide AI-generated outputs and ensure they meet professional creative standards.
• Stay up to date with creative trends, visual culture, Generative AI developments and emerging technologies to help keep our work fresh, relevant and innovative.
• Take responsibility for assigned tasks and contribute actively to the creative process.
• Develop skills in creative ideation, art direction, visual development, time management and AI-assisted creative production while collaborating with different skill sets across Dentsu Creative.

Requirements

• Engage with art direction, visual culture, creativity and emerging technologies through your work, studies or personal practice.
• Experiment with Generative AI and new creative tools and workflows.
• Translate ideas into clear visual creative executions.
• Collaborate with teammates, listen to feedback and contribute to shared creative work.
• Demonstrate strong visual skills through a portfolio, personal practice, studies or experience in Art Direction, Communication, Design, Fine Art or a related discipline.
• Use Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and Premiere.
• Use Generative AI tools for visual creation and experimentation. You may also have experience with different AI models, platforms or workflows.
• Use MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Keynote.
• Communicate clearly in written and spoken Italian and English.
