Job summary

Techyon S.r.l. ricerca un Junior Application Specialist da inserire nel team Core Applications per supportare l’evoluzione dei sistemi informativi universitari a Milano, con focus su admissions e gestione processi.

Sarai parte di un team tecnico, interfacciandoti con i Dipartimenti e fornitori esterni per soluzioni su misura e manutenzione. Il ruolo richiede competenze in Python e/o C#, SQL e REST, conoscenza di MVC, e buona padronanza di inglese e italiano.

Qualifications

• Laurea in Informatica/Ingegneria/Matematica o equivalente.
• Buona capacità analitica e di problem solving.
• Capacità di lavorare in team e comunicare con stakeholder tecnici e non.
• Conoscenza di Python e/o C#, con HTML.
• Conoscenza di architetture MVC e principi di sviluppo.
• Buona conoscenza di SQL e basi dati relazionali.
• Conoscenza di REST API.
• Buona padronanza dell'inglese e dell'italiano.
• Esperienza o studio all'estero di almeno 4 mesi.

Responsibilities

• Analizzare processi aziendali e requisiti funzionali, inizialmente per admissions studentesche.
• Tradurre requisiti in soluzioni tecniche pratiche con il supporto di colleghi senior.
• Concepire e sviluppare componenti software e integrazioni tra sistemi.
• Eseguire manutenzione evolutiva e correttiva di applicazioni e interfacce (Python, C#, PL/SQL).
• Fornire supporto tecnico agli utenti interni e assistenza nelle issue applicative.
• Monitorare ambienti applicativi, integrazioni e processi operativi.
• Supportare testing, risoluzione di problemi e rilascio di update.
• Collaborare con fornitori esterni su sviluppo e manutenzione.
• Preparare e mantenere documentazione tecnica e funzionale.
• Garantire conformità a privacy e sicurezza dei dati.

Hiring Company: for a prestigious University in Milan, our Recruitment Engineers are looking for a JUNIOR APPLICATION SPECIALIST.

Core Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Junior Application Specialist to join the Core Applications team within the Technology Unit and support the continuous evolution of University’s information systems. The selected candidate will initially focus on applications and processes related to student admissions, supporting their management, maintenance, and ongoing improvement. The role will involve functional analysis, development of custom solutions, application monitoring, and technical support for internal users.

As a member of the Technology team, you will collaborate closely with business departments—particularly the Admissions area—to understand operational needs and translate them into effective technical solutions. You will also contribute to the maintenance and integration of applications, working alongside senior colleagues and external vendors.

Main activities:

• Analyze business processes and gather functional requirements, with an initial focus on student admissions
• Translate functional requirements into practical technical solutions, with the support of senior team members
• Contribute to the design and development of software components and integrations between systems
• Perform evolutionary and corrective maintenance of existing applications and interfaces using Python, C#, and PL/SQL
• Provide technical support to internal users and assist with troubleshooting application-related issues
• Monitor application environments, integrations, and operational processes
• Support testing activities, issue resolution, and the release of application updates
• Collaborate with external vendors on software development and maintenance activities
• Prepare and maintain technical and functional documentation
• Ensure compliance with confidentiality and data protection standards

Essential Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Strong analytical skills and a problem‑solving mindset
• Teamwork attitude and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proactive approach and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment
• Knowledge of Python and/or C#, together with a working knowledge of HTML
• Basic knowledge of MVC architecture and development principles
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Familiarity with the development and use of REST APIs
• Good command of the English and Italian language
• Previous working and/or studying experience outside Italy (at least 4 months)

Desiderable Competencies:

• Previous experience in a similar role, familiarity with university processes or CINECA applications
• Experience or familiarity with AWS services and Docker
• Experience with Atlassian tools, such as Jira and Confluence, and with GitHub

Location: Milano

Contract Offered:

Permanent contract - full time

Compensation:

RAL: 33 - 40.000 €
