Alstom in Bologna or Rome is seeking an Interlocking Application Engineer to lead the design process of EBILOCK or SML300/SML400 systems. You will tailor the Alstom Generic Product to project needs and collaborate with the project team across design and hardware disciplines.

The role requires an Automation or Electrical engineering degree, knowledge of signalling rules, CAD tools, and advanced English. The position is on site at Bologna or Rome with a competitive salary in the Metalmeccanico

Competenze

• Automation or Electrical engineering degree required.
• Knowledge of Signalling Principles and Rules is essential.
• Experience in Application Design and CAD tools preferred.
• Strong English language skills are required.

Mansioni

• Identify and analyse customer requirements from Tender phase.
• Develop the Specific Application by adapting Alstom's product to the project.
• Follow the system design process with the project team and hardware components.
• Apply design methods per Alstom standards to improve the design process.
• Define baselines for EBILOCK, SML300 and SML400 architectures.
• Support Verification, Validation and Commissioning teams during testing.
• Assist during plant commissioning with design decisions to ease migration.

Interlocking Application Engineer

Your role

The Interlocking Application Engineer will deal the design process of EBILOCK or SML300 or SML400 Interlocking systems.

Responsibilities

• Identification and analysis of customer requirements already in the Tender Phase;
• Develop the Specific Application through the design flow to "customize" the Alstom Generic Product and the Generic Application functions to the needs of the project;
• Follow the system design process, in collaboration with the project team and the other functions involved, from the requirements analysis phase to the hardware design on the various components of the system;
• Apply application design methods and tools in accordance with Alstom's design flow and standards, contributing to the process of continuous improvement of the design process and tools;
• Define, on the basis of the standard architectures relating to the EBILOCK, SML300 and SML400 interlocking systems
• Support the Verification & Validation and Test & Commissioning teams in the verification and validation phase of the plant by adopting design choices that minimize field activities and simplify migration management;
• Ensure support for the Test & Commissioning phase and commissioning of the plant.
  
  

Qualifications

• Automation or Electronic or Electrical University Degree
• Knowledge of Signalling Principle and Rules
• Knowledge of RFI standards
• Experience in Application Design
• Knowledge of CAD tool;
• Advanced English language level
  
  

Location: Bologna or Rome site

Salary range: 34.400 - 45.900; CCNL Metalmeccanico
