American Express Company is seeking an Analyst, Risk Governance and Frameworks, Italy, to support the second line of defense governance, risk framework and policy library for Italy. You will design, implement and maintain the risk governance structure across Italian businesses, collaborating with ILE and Global teams.

Fluency in English and Italian is required, with 3–5 years in risk management or related roles.

Competenze

• 3-5 years of experience in risk management, compliance, treasury, controllership, or a similar role.
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen with a risk-reward control perspective.
• Strong understanding of Italian market regulatory requirements and the payments industry.
• Experience in interacting with regulators and familiarity with Italy’s regulatory landscape.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Fluency in English and Italian (verbal and written).
• Degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field; FRM/CFA valued.
• Attention to detail and written communication skills.

Mansioni

• Support ownership of the Risk Governance Framework and the Risk Governance Committee structure.
• Support ownership of the International Legal Entities (ILE) Risk Management policies and deployment of 2nd Line frameworks.
• Support ownership of the Risk Appetite Framework and ensure adherence to ILE Risk Appetite through metrics and limits.
• Build and maintain relationships with Enterprise teams to reflect ILE input to policies.
• Ensure governance structures and policies are embedded and risks are properly governed.
• Support Governance Committees to be properly structured and staffed.
• Assist in escalation of risks to committees and boards and monitor remediation efforts.
