Job summary

Explora Journeys seeks an IT Test Lead to drive the digital testing strategy across web and digital assets. You will design, execute, and report on tests, coordinating onshore and offshore teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.

The role requires 7+ years in software testing, Java/SQL, UI and mobile testing, and strong English communication. Knowledge of QC, JIRA, and ServiceNow is essential; travel for short-to-mid-term assignments may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

As IT Test Lead, you will play a pivotal role in our digital transformation journey, ensuring the highest quality of our web applications and other digital assets. With a strong background in testing automation, plans, designs, manages, executes and reports on tests, using appropriate testing tools and techniques to ensure that new and amended systems, configurations, packages, or services, together with any interfaces, perform as specified. He/She is the IT interface towards development teams and, just in case, towards business stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

• Ability to coordinate hybrid teams (onshore and offshore);
• Design and execute test cases, test scripts, test plans, test reports, and other testing deliverables for the software under test;
• Measure, monitor, and report on project progress and software quality;
• Deputise for other Test Leads when required to support cross-channel activities;
• Provide progress updates in line with the agreed reporting schedule;
• Experience with a range of testing types, including functional, non-functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing;
• Knowledge of defect management tools such as Quality Center (QC), JIRA, and ServiceNow;
• Ability to analyze business requirements, contribute to requirements gathering, develop and review test plans and test cases, execute test cases, review test results, and support implementation planning.

• ISTQB Foundation Level certification is considered a plus;
• Experience in team management;
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of all system applications and a high level of proficiency regarding system enhancements;
• Ability to translate business users' needs into technical requirements for development teams;
• At least 7 years of experience in software testing activities, with solid knowledge of testing tools and methodologies;
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken;
• Availability to travel, for short-mid timeframe.

What we offer

In compliance with the applicable pay transparency legislation, the following information is provided regarding the initial compensation foreseen for the position.

Contract

• Type of contract: Permanent
• Hybrid working model: 2 days per week remotely
• Applicable Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL): "Addetti agli uffici ed ai terminals delle società di navigazione che esercitano l’armamento privato" – sez. personale di terra
• Gross annual salary (RAL): between €45.000 – €52.000 gross per year, paid over 14 monthly installments
• Meal vouchers: worth €8 per on-site working day

The offer in terms of salary will be determined based on the candidate’s professional experience, technical competencies, and the level of autonomy and responsibility assigned to the role.
