MSC Cruises is seeking an IT Network Engineer to design, implement and operate network and security solutions across on‑premises and Azure cloud. You will ensure smooth operation of the global network, enforce security policies, and drive improvements.

The role requires 5+ years in Networking, CCNA, and experience with Checkpoint/F5 and cloud networking. A Master’s degree and English fluency are essential, with a hybrid work model and a salary package in the €32k-€39k range.

Competenze

• At least 5 years’ proven experience in Networking and Collaboration areas.
• Proven experience with Checkpoint Firewalls, F5 Load-Balancers, Azure networking and HPE/Aruba/Cisco devices.
• Fluent in English, oral and written; additional languages are a plus.
• Master's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent.
• CCNA mandatory; CCNP or equivalent a plus.
• Experience with SDWAN and Network Automation is a plus.

Job Purpose

In line with IT Strategy of the company, the IT Network Engineer is responsible to implement and operate network & security solutions on‑premises and in Azure cloud, execute and guarantee smooth and efficient operation across MSC Cruises' global network solutions, ensure adequate security level and govern company IT projects. The ideal candidate will have a range of skills that include technical expertise, project management record and is a team player.

Key Accountabilities

• Operate and maintain complex Networks (LAN, WAN, WiFi, Firewalls, Load‑Balancers, SDWAN, Cloud, Satellite)
• Manage security devices to enforce network security policies as per MSC Cruises guidelines.
• Incident and change management of related areas (Network, Security, Remote Access, Load‑Balancers, SDWAN, Azure clouds, etc…) hosted on premises and in Azure.
• Monitor Network performances and alarms. Ability to manage different Service Providers and System Integrators.
• Update and manage IT Network Documentation.
• Interact with IT third party for innovation tasks and developing new services
• Provide technical expertise to develop new product strategies, provide inputs against new solutions/applications or enhancements.
• Ensure compliance in alignment with MSC Security guidelines, contribute to security design.
• IT Process setup and optimization, reporting management.
• Contribute to complex IT project & programs, including software development.
• Netops/Devops oriented

QUALIFICATIONS (skills, Competencies, Experience)

• At least 5 years’ proven experience in Networking and Collaboration areas.
• First Proven experience witch Checkpoint Firewalls, F5 Load‑Balancers, Azure clouds networking and HPe/Aruba/Cisco devices.
• Fluent in English, oral and written. Any other language is an advantage.
• Master's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent.
• Proven Experience with Networking and Security.
• Capabilities to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Ability to operate under stretched timelines and prioritize.
• CCNA (or equivalent knowledge) is mandatory, CCNP or equivalent a plus.
• Experience with SDWAN and Network Automation is a plus.
• Experience with Cloud Providers is a plus.
• International exposure and multi‑cultural experience is welcome.

What We Offer

In compliance with the applicable pay transparency legislation, the following information is provided regarding the initial compensation foreseen for the position.

Contract

• Type of contract: Permanent
• Hybrid working model: 2 days per week remotely
• Applicable Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL): “Addetti agli uffici ed ai terminals delle società di navigazione che esercitano l’armamento privato” – sez. personale di terra
• Gross annual salary (RAL): between €32,000 – €39,000 gross per year, paid over 14 monthly installments
• Meal vouchers: worth €8 per on‑site working day

The offer in terms of salary will be determined based on the candidate’s professional experience, technical competencies, and the level of autonomy and responsibility assigned to the role.
