We are looking for a passionate and engaged IT Logistics Intern to join our Worldwide Information Technology Team at our Global HQ in Milan.
Your Impact
In this role, you will:
- Analyze and gain an in-depth understanding of Supply Chain processes, with a particular focus on industrial and distribution logistics
- Learn the IT systems supporting logistics processes and their integration within the Supply Chain ecosystem, primarily ERP, WMS and TMS
- Contribute to digital transformation projects, with a particular focus on the multi-year implementation of a new WMS across distribution centers
- Participate in functional and technical analysis workshops, gathering, understanding and managing business requirements
- Participate in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and prepare the related documentation
- Organize training activities on new operating procedures
- Support the updating and monitoring of project plans, including Gantt charts, milestones and progress KPIs
- Contribute to the preparation and updating of project documentation, including Steering Committee materials, project status reports (SAL) and summary materials for stakeholders
- Learn how to use project management and monitoring tools for complex projects, such as Jira and Confluence
- Collaborate with the various teams involved in the projects, including IT, Logistics Business, 3PL providers, software vendors and consultants
Qualifications
- Recent graduate in a STEM discipline, preferably Engineering
- Interest in and/or academic background in Logistics and/or Project Management
- Knowledge of key business applications (ERP, WMS, TMS) is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Familiarity with project monitoring tools (e.g. the Atlassian suite) is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills
- Proactive attitude and intellectual curiosity
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent command of English
