Job summary

PTV Logistics is seeking an IT Administrator (m/f/d) focused on network, virtualization and security to join our IT team. You will design, implement and manage our network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, wireless), monitor virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V) and enforce security measures including firewalls and IDS/IPS.

Fluent English and German required. You will collaborate with colleagues on IT projects, conduct security assessments and help end users with guidance and training.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT administration with focus on network management, virtualization and IT security.
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V or similar.
• Fluent in English and German; works well in a team.

• You design, implement and manage our network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN and wireless networks, and configure and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches and access points.
• You maintain and monitor our virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.), ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization.
• You implement and manage IT security measures, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, intrusion detection systems and security audits.
• You perform regular security assessments, vulnerability testing and risk analysis to identify and mitigate potential threats.
• You develop and enforce IT policies, procedures and standards that ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• You collaborate with your IT colleagues to plan and execute IT projects, and provide technical support and training to end users on network, virtualization and security topics.

Your profile

• You bring proven experience in IT administration with a focus on network management, virtualization and IT security.
• You have in-depth knowledge of networking technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
• You have hands-on experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V or similar.
• You have a strong understanding of IT security principles, including firewalls, IDS/IPS and anti-virus software.
• You are an excellent problem solver and stay effective under pressure.
• You communicate confidently in English and German and work effectively in a team.
