ABB in Italy is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to optimize assembly methods, processes, and equipment in line with quality, efficiency, cost, and safety targets.

You will define working phase sequences for new production processes and support start-up, testing, and continuous improvement across the production floor.

Competenze

• Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Production Engineering.
• 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Experience with ERP systems and production planning tools.
• Fluent in English and Italian; able to engage with stakeholders.

• Optimize production methods and equipment to reduce labor hours.
• Identify improvement opportunities and lead projects within time and cost constraints.
• Approve process designs and perform final tests.

Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.Work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite.In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:Identifying and recommending improvement opportunities and implements improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements.Approving the design for processes developed internally or externally and performing final tests with respect to the project.Providing support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources.Evaluating new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices.Qualifications for the roleYou have a degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Production Engineering.2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is considered a plus.You have strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and production process optimization.You are skilled in using ERP systems and production planning tools, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.You are a collaborative team player, adaptable to change, and comfortable working in cross-functional environments.You are at ease communicating in both English and Italian, effectively engaging with internal and external stakeholders.Compensation PackageAs part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:Applicable CBA: MetalmeccanicoMinimum annual salary: € 36.000,00Variable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity BonusThe offer will be tailored based on your role location, experience, skills and qualifications, internal market positioning and alignment with ABB internal standards.Benefits as per policyFlexible working hours, hybrid work options, and a strong focus on work-life integration and Wellbeing support for employees and their families.
