Deutsche Bank’s Investment Banking team in Italy seeks an Associate to work on large-cap M&A, equity capital markets and leveraged finance assignments for Italian and global clients.

You will evaluate companies, build financial models, and support execution of live deals while collaborating with teams across regions. Strong English and Italian, and a solid academic record are required. The role offers exposure to senior bankers and broad professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Excellent academic record with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering or similar fields.
• Extensive full-time experience in Investment Banking and/or Private Equity is required.
• Proven technical skills including financial modelling, financial analysis and understanding of valuation methodologies, with high attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Work on a variety of complex M&A, equity capital markets and leveraged finance projects for Italian, European and global clients.
• Contribute to development of ideas to help clients achieve strategic and financial objectives.
• Conduct detailed valuation analyses (DCF, comps, LBO) and support live transaction execution.
• Assist in project management and execution of pitches and live deals.
• Attend team discussions and client meetings, delivering parts of presentations.
• Collaborate with product teams across the bank, locally and abroad.

As an Investment Banking Associate, you can expect to work on large-cap M&A, Equity Capital Markets and Leveraged Finance origination and execution assignments. Tasks may include evaluating companies, perform financial analyses, developing models for M&A transactions, preparing industry statistics for pitches, or getting involved in the execution of live deals. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues both locally and abroad, evolve professionally and personally, and build a firm foundation to further develop your investment banking career at Deutsche Bank.

Responsibilities

• Working on a variety of complex projects for leading Italian, European and global clients.
• Opportunity to contribute to the development of new ideas to help clients achieve their strategic and financial objectives.
• Conduct detailed valuation analysis and other financial analysis, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables, LBO analysis and transaction structuring.
• Project management and involvement in execution of live transactions and pitches.
• Attend team discussions and client meetings and be able to deliver parts of a presentation.
• Interact with various sectors and product teams across the bank, both locally and abroad.
• Support senior bankers in origination and coverage efforts.
• Contribute positively to franchise building activities.
• Engage in regional networking and Talent Development offerings.

Skills

• Excellent academic record (e.g. First-Class Honours, or equivalent) supported by a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering or similar fields.
• Extensive relevant full-time experience in Investment Banking and/or Private Equity is required.
• Proven technical skills including financial modelling, financial analysis and understanding of valuation methodologies, with high level of attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) and fluent in English and Italian.
• Strong proficiency with financial analytics software and Microsoft suite of products.
• Commercial instinct, demonstrable passion for finance and capital markets with an affinity for numbers.
• Results-driven, perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines.
• Team players with ability to manage a wide range of responsibilities and contribute to the success of the franchise.
