World Food Programme seeks an experienced Investigations Officer (Consultant) based in Rome to lead and coordinate investigations into alleged misconduct. The role reports to the Director of OIGI and operates within a multidisciplinary team.

It requires ensuring independent, fair reviews of concerns affecting staff, contractors, and others with WFP ties. The consultant will manage intake assessments, interviews, document reviews, and the development of actionable findings.

Formación

• University degree in law, finance, criminology or related field.
• Experience leading investigations and intake assessments.
• Knowledge of UN staff rules and procedures is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Assess allegations and determine appropriate action (investigation, referral, or closure).
• Prepare concise briefings for management and stakeholders.
• Liaise with Country Offices and HQ to obtain information and advise staff.
• Plan and conduct fact-finding, including interviews and document reviews.
• Conduct digital forensic or open-source searches as needed.
• Suggest improvements to controls and operations.
