Pirelli invites applications for an internship within the Vehicle Dynamics team in the R&D Motorsport division in Milan. You will engage in motorsport data analysis from race, test and simulation sessions, working under a tutor to develop skills in tyre performance.

Competenze

• Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive field.

DRIVE YOUR FUTURE

You will join the Vehicle Dynamics team within the R&D Motorsport department and get first-hand exposure to the study of tyre performance at the pinnacle of motorsport.

Working in a highly technical and fast-paced environment, you will gain hands-on experience in vehicle dynamics and performance analysis, developing your skills while contributing to real-world motorsport challenges.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

You will collaborate with your tutor in our Tyre Performance Team on motorsport activities, including the data analysis from race, test and simulations sessions, as well as indoor tyre measurements. You will also use virtual models and analysis tools to perform simulations and contribute to their development, with the ultimate goal of providing at product designers clear feedback and hints to make better racing tyres.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engeneering or a related field.
• Analytical and curious mindset, with the ability to interpret data from vehicles and tyres, and to translate it into useful info for tyre development and understanding.
• Good usage of software like Matlab and Python, knowledge of software for lap time simulations or vehicle dynamics.
• Proficiency in English and Italian.
