Job summary

Mediobanca in Lombardia offers a six-month Data Quality Analyst/Data Scientist internship reporting to the Chief Data Officer. The role supports shaping and delivering the data quality program, develops data quality frameworks, and assists data owners and stewards in implementation.

The intern will analyze large financial datasets, apply statistical methods, and build models and tools to automate processes and enhance decision making. €1,000 gross monthly allowance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative or business area (Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or Engineering).
• Knowledge of data governance, methodologies and tools.

Posizione:

The Data Quality Analyst/Data Scientist is a position reporting to Chief Data Officer (CDO). The intern will support the team for shaping and executing the delivery of data quality program following the Data Governance guidelines and will support the CDO in designing the data quality framework and the data owners and data stewards in its implementation. He/She will also work on the enhancement of the value of financial business-related data by applying data-driven methodologies. More specifically, the intern will:

• support data owners and data stewards to implement data quality framework within their data domain;
• collaborate with the data owners to create and maintain data quality dashboards and issues log;
• monitor data quality dashboards and issues log and creating reports on data quality;
• ensure appropriate action is taken in case of data quality issues;
• collect, examine, and analyze large amounts of financial data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities useful for informed investment strategies and business decisions to be taken;
• utilize advanced statistical methods to develop models for the implementation of business cases;
• create customized tools and algorithms to automate complex processes, enhance efficiency and provide innovative solutions for business needs.

Requisiti:

We are looking for motivated interns with a Master Degree in a quantitative or business area, such as Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or Engineering.

The main skills required are as follows:

• knowledge of best practices in data governance, methodologies and tools;
• understanding of data related architecture, integration, classification strategy, quality management, security and privacy standards;
• understanding of data analytics in complex environments;
• knowledge of statistical methodologies, modeling techniques, and machine learning algorithms;
• programming skills, particularly in languages such as Python, R and one query language like SQL;
• excellent relationship management;

For the six months internship, participants will receive a gross monthly allowance of €1,000.
