Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Aruba Networking is offering a six-month internship for recent graduates to start a career in technical presales on enterprise networking. The role sits in the Italian presales team with a dedicated mentor and structured training plan, offering real exposure to customers, partners and the full sales cycle.

You will work in a hybrid setup (2 days per week in the office) and have access to labs and certification programs, with an internship allowance provided.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, OSI model, switching, VLANs, Wi-Fi.
• Good communication skills and interest in customer-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Learn the HPE Networking portfolio and gain hands-on labs through structured training.
• Assist Systems Engineers in preparing and delivering presentations and product demonstrations.
• Participate in customer meetings and proof-of-concepts, helping with lab setup and test documentation.
• Contribute to technical documentation and bills of materials.

This role has been designed as 'Hybrid' with a requirement that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

About The Internship

HPE Networking is redefining the intelligent edge: campus, branch, data center, mobility and IoT networks that combine connectivity, security and AI-driven operations. We help some of the largest organizations in Italy modernize their networks for a digital future.

As an Intern Systems Engineer you will join the Italian presales team and learn how technology turns into customer solutions. You will work side by side with experienced Systems Engineers, with a dedicated mentor and a structured training plan, gaining real exposure to customers, partners and the full sales cycle.

What You Will Do

With The Guidance Of Your Mentor, You Will

• Learn the HPE Networking portfolio (wired and wireless LAN, SD-WAN, SASE, network access control, cloud and AI-driven management) through structured training and hands-on labs
• Support Systems Engineers in preparing and delivering presentations and product demonstrations to customers and partners
• Take part in customer meetings, workshops and proof-of-concepts, helping with lab setup, configuration and test documentation
• Contribute to technical documentation: solution designs, bills of materials, answers to technical requirements in tenders
• Participate in internal enablement sessions and work toward your first vendor certifications

Who We Are Looking For

• Recent graduate in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or a related field
• Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, OSI model, switching, VLANs, Wi-Fi
• Basic understanding of network security and cloud concepts
• Strong curiosity for technology and willingness to learn fast
• Good communication skills and interest in customer-facing roles
• Team player with a positive, proactive attitude
• Good knowledge of English, spoken and written; fluent Italian

Nice to Have

• Entry-level certifications (e.g. CCNA, HPE/Aruba ACA, Juniper JNCIA) or related university courses
• Thesis, projects or lab experience on networking, security, cloud or automation
