Job summary

Abbott in Milan, Italy seeks an experienced Interim Country Controller for Italy & Greece on a fixed-term basis. You will lead all core controlling activities, oversee planning, reporting, and governance, and partner with senior stakeholders to drive performance in a matrix, international environment.

The role requires a proactive finance leader with strong people management, deep technical skills in FP&A, accounting policies, and internal controls, and fluency in English and Italian.

Qualifications

• Influence decision-making at management level and drive change across finance and commercial functions.
• Strong business partnering capabilities with constructive stakeholder support.
• Advanced analytical skills and data-driven insights from large data sets.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and planning/reporting systems such as Hyperion or Dodeca.
• Experience leading transformation and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted finance business partner to support operational and commercial decisions.
• Deliver in-depth financial analysis, forecasts, reports, and recommendations for timely management decisions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure balance sheet integrity and reconciliation of accounts.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes per policies.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems, controls, and reporting.
