Job summary

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is recruiting for its Projects Directorate (PJ), Mobility Department (MOBILITY), Mobile Assets and Deployment Division (MADE) in Luxembourg for an Associate Sector Specialist - Innovative Transport Technologies Deployment.

The role focuses on innovative transport tech, digitalisation, decarbonisation, and logistics across automotive, rail, aviation and maritime sectors, with exposure to shipping and cybersecurity. Relocation support is available.

Qualifications

• University degree (Bachelor equivalent) in engineering, economics or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in innovative transport projects.
• Interest in transport tech, logistics and decarbonisation; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to project appraisal and monitoring with data analysis and benchmarking.
• Assess project rationale, viability and alignment with policy objectives in transport.
• Perform due diligence including technical and market assessments under supervision.
• Contribute to policy papers and represent the Bank at sector events.
