Our client is a well-established company within the Technology & Telecoms industry. As a medium-sized organization, they specialize in delivering advanced technological solutions and fostering a culture of innovation.

Offerta

This role requires a deep understanding of local network and servers infrastructure, application footprints, and network setups, along with the ability to investigate and resolve issues related to infrastructure, Wi-Fi, and networking. The ideal candidate will work closely with the central IT team and act as a key interface between the central team and the business, highlighting local risks to the EMEA IT Head.



Regional infrastructure Management & Compliance:

Linux and Windows administration

Network troubleshooting.

o Understanding of networking concepts (IP, subnet mask, gateway, DNS).

o Identification and replacement of network cables (CAT5e, CAT6).

o Knowledge of network diagnostic tools (e.g., ping, tracert, ipconfig).

o Ability to replace switches and routers following documentation or port mappings.

o Identify hardware issues.

Understand the local IT infrastructure and work with the central team to ensure compliance and security with group standards.

Maintain and update local documentation and configurations to align with company policies.

  • Local Application Footprint & Architecture:
    • Evaluate and document the local application landscape and their architectural dependencies.
    • Serve as the key point of contact of investigation for infrastructure issues, including Wi-Fi and network setups.
    • Work with local businesses to prepare, test and execute business continuity plans.
  • Interface Between Central Team and Business:
    • Act as the liaison between the central IT team and business units.
    • Ensure that technical solutions align with business requirements and that any changes or updates are effectively communicated between teams.
  • Risk Management & Escalation:
    • Identify, assess, and report local IT risks and challenges.
    • Proactively escalate EMEA risks and potential impacts to the EMEA IT with detailed analysis and recommendations.
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in IT support and infrastructure efficiency.
    • Participate in regular reviews with the central IT team to ensure ongoing compliance

Competenze ed esperienza

A successful System Engineer Infrastructure should have:

  • Master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong technical background in IT infrastructure management, including Wi-Fi and network setup.
  • Familiarity with storage , Vmware and cabling.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written in English, with the ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as an interface between technical teams and business units.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • CISCO Certify Network engineering
  • Vmware Certified Professional ( VCP)
  • Preferred if with ITIL V4 Certified
