ABB E-mobility in Italy seeks a leader to drive end-to-end industrialization and value engineering that transforms electromechanical products into simpler, scalable, and cost-effective manufacturing-ready solutions.

You will connect Product Development, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to make measurable business decisions, optimize cost and CAPEX, and align cross-functional teams around common objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional technical programs involving both Product Engineering and Operations.
• Strong understanding of complex electromechanical products, manufacturing technologies, and industrialization processes.
• Solid knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Testability (DFT), value engineering, and cost engineering methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, challenge established solutions, and successfully drive organizational change.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, combined with a hands-on, execution-oriented mindset.
• Comfortable working in fast-moving environments with ambiguity, competing priorities, and incomplete information.
• Naturally curious, highly proactive, and passionate about converting technical opportunities into tangible business results.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end industrialization and value engineering programs from opportunity identification through implementation.
• Challenge product architectures, identify opportunities for simplification, standardization, modularization, and cost optimization.
• Embed manufacturability, testability, serviceability, and scalability into engineering decisions from the outset.
• Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to align stakeholders.
• Quantify engineering alternatives, translating technical decisions into impacts on product cost, CAPEX, quality, and lead times.
• Identify value creation opportunities across specs, materials, processes, and supplier strategies.
• Simplify industrial and manufacturing architectures to reduce variants and inefficiencies.
• Communicate complex technical challenges clearly for effective decision-making at all levels.
