Alstom in Italy, based in Sesto San Giovanni, seeks an Industrialization Engineer to industrialize maintenance, renovation and warranty activities, ensuring delivery of maintenance and production milestones.

You will lead the creation of macro-processes, work instructions, BOMs and layouts, and define training plans for industrial topics and special processes. Fluent English and Italian are required.

Competenze

  • 2–5 years’ experience in railway industry, ideally in an international organization.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and drawings.
  • Experience in Methods Engineering, writing, and improving manufacturing and/or maintenance work instructions, line balancing, Lean Manufacturing.
  • Experience in working with ERP (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration follow-up.
  • Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems.
  • Proven ability to innovate and manage change.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
  • Strong organizational and planning capabilities.
  • Fluent in English and Italian.

Mansioni

  • Lead the industrialization of technical documentation, respecting the Standard Manufacturing Process & Standard Manufacturing Line guidelines, footprint.
  • Elaborate the required industrial deliverables: Macro-process, Work Instructions, implantation of the workstations, Bill of Material, Task Sequence and/or Standard Operations Sheet, Work Instructions, Method times, definitive Layouts.
  • Provide inputs to Industrial means and tools requirements for project execution activities.
  • Define and implement the training plan related to industrial topics and to Special Processes.
  • Validate on the field the industrial deliverables, tools and industrial means with maintenance execution (FAT).
  • Respect the Industrial Planning milestones (followed by the IMFU).
  • Understand and support the implementation of APSYS (Alstom Performance System) subjects related to Industrial Roadmap.
  • Ensure Railway Safety and EHS, AZDP standards are respected.
  • Set up industrial process improvement related to industrial efficiency, quality, safety, Ergonomics, EHS, continuous improvement.
  • Adapt the industrial process and deliverables to project life cycle events such as design changes, obsolescence, maintenance plan optimization, fleet extension, changes in operating modes ...).
  • Contribute to the Control Change Board review, where appropriate, to reduce non quality or improve safety, performance of operations.

Purpose of the job

The Industrialization Engineer is responsible to industrialize the maintenance, renovation/modernisationand warranty activity in order to secure the maintenance and production deliverables.

Requirements
  • At Least 2 to 5 years’ experience preferably in the railway industry, ideally in an international organization
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and drawings
  • Technical experience of Methods Engineering, writing, and improving manufacturing and/or maintenance work instructions, line balancing, Lean Manufacturing
  • Experience in working with an ERP (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration follow-up
  • Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems
  • Proven ability to innovate and manage change
  • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at various levels
  • Strong organizational and planning capabilities
  • Desire to learn and grow completing the profile
  • Fluent in English and Italian

The position will be based in Sesto San Giovanni (Milano) and will be the industrialization reference point for Regional & Loco Business Unit in Italy. Travel requirement for 50% to maintenanance depots or other Alstom sites.
