SLB in Colico, Italy is seeking an Industrial Engineer for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will drive automation, digitalization, and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, working with cross-functional teams to gain hands-on experience and develop a solid engineering foundation.

The role reports to the Industrial Engineer Supervisor, with responsibilities including cost monitoring, project coordination, and contractor supervision in an energy-focused manufacturing environment.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
• Continuous improvement mindset with interest in automation/process optimization.
• Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and techniques.
• Strong communication, time management and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and investment analysis in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with HSE regulations and contractor management in an industrial environment.
• Proficient use of MS Office (Excel).
• Fluent in English and Italian (written and spoken).
• Previous technical experience in manufacturing or energy sector preferred.

Mansioni

• Implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical and operational support to Manufacturing Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Manage budget for capital investments and tooling.
• Coordinate industrial projects including installation, commissioning, and start-up of new machinery and production systems.
• Monitor production costs and perform variance analysis to identify costs from non-conformities.
• Manage supplier and non-conformity costs and recovery efforts.
• Oversee production time-tracking system.
• Support KPI analysis and decision-making for operations and strategy.
• Supervise contractors and ensure HSE compliance and safe execution of external activities.

Are you a recent Engineering graduate passionate about automation and innovation?As an Industrial Engineer, you will contribute to projects that transform manufacturing processes through automation, digitalization, and continuous improvement initiatives. Roles and Responsibilities:

• Implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Technical and operational support to Manufacturing Manager and cross‑functional collaboration with manufacturing teams.
• Manage the budget for capital investments and tooling.
• Industrial project coordination, including installation, commissioning, and start‑up of new machinery equipment and production systems.
• Monitor and analyze production costs (overhead analysis with regular monitoring, reporting, and variance analysis) and identify costs arising from non‑conformities.
• Supplier and non‑conformity cost management, including identification and recovery of costs related to supplier‑related quality issues.
• Manage the production time‑tracking system.
• Performance management and KPI analysis, supporting operational and strategic decision‑making.
• Generate and analyze operational statistics and reports.
• Contractor supervision and HSE compliance, ensuring coordination, regulatory adherence, and safe execution of external activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
• Continuous improvement mindset, with a strong interest in automation and process optimization.
• Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and techniques.
• Strong communication, time management and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and investment analysis in a manufacturing context.
• Familiarity with HSE regulations and contractor management in an industrial environment.
• Proficient use of MS Office (especially Excel).
• Fluent in English and Italian (written and spoken).
• Previous technical experience in a manufacturing environment and/or the energy sector, preferably in an automation‑related role would be considered as asset.

Must have Technical Competencies:

• Programming (coding).
• Industrial automation.
• Management of IT systems and network protocols.
• Knowledge of Angular, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, and C# .

What We Offer:

• Employment Type: 12-month fixed‑term, full‑time contract.
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM, with flexible working hours.
• Collective Bargaining Agreement: CCNL Metalmeccanica Industria.
• Compensation: Gross annual salary (RAL) starting from €30,000.
• Location: Colico (LC), Italy.
