Ingersoll Rand Compressor Systems & Services’ Vignate Plant seeks an Industrial Controller with manufacturing experience to bridge accounting and financial analysis. You will own standard costing, cost reporting, and month-end close, while supporting budgeting and forecasting for production performance.

The role requires SAP FI/CO expertise, strong data integrity, and collaboration with RTR/AP centers in Europe.

Competenze

3+ years of SAP FI CO proficiency in manufacturing.
3+ years standard cost accounting experience.
3+ years product cost and manufacturing variance analysis.
Knowledge of Italian accounting & tax regulations and US GAAP.
Fluent in English and Italian.

Mansioni

Standard costing and costing view maintenance (buy, make, subcontractor items).
Material purchase price variances (PPV) analysis and reporting.
Material standard cost burden rate analysis including DL, F&D, OH components.
Work order costs review for production, remanufacturing and aftermarket units.

Job Summary

Vignate Plant is looking for an Industrial Controller with manufacturing experience who brings strong analytical capability and sound accounting fundamentals—someone who can move seamlessly between the discipline of accounting and the deeper analysis that drives smarter operational decisions. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role supporting manufacturing operations through cost and variance analysis (material, labor, and overhead), inventory and asset accounting, and month‑end close activities. Beyond execution, the role plays a key part in strengthening financial and costing processes, improving data integrity, and enhancing reporting and internal controls that help move the organization forward. The successful candidate is both a doer and a thinker—comfortable in a plant‑based environment, energized by change, and motivated by translating complex manufacturing data into clear, actionable insight. Sitting at the intersection of accounting and financial analysis, this role supports budgeting, forecasting, and operational reporting tied directly to production performance. You will be part of the Industrial Controlling team reporting to Vignate Plant Controller in a leading manufacturing facility that produces ETO Engineering-to-order solutions as well as MTO/MTS standard series products within EMEIA Compression Systems & Services Business unit.

Responsibilities

Standard costing

Material standard cost definition, costing view creation for buy, make and subcontractor items.
Material standard costing run, maintenance and update.
Preparation and coordination of the annual costing run.
Material enrichment Finance partner in SAP and Windchill.
Material purchase price variances (PPV) analysis and reporting.
Material standard cost burden rate analysis. Standard cost burden/absorption components like DL (direct labour), F&D (freight & duties), OH (overhead) calculation and validation.

Industrial cost controlling

Work order costs review and validation for the production, remanufacturing and aftermarket units.
Validation of material and production variances understanding the root cause and the corrective actions.
Reviewing of the transactions to insure proper impact on accounting records and product costs.
Assists excess and obsolete inventory review.
Proactively seeks out ways to improve processes and accuracy and drive efficiency.
Supports Operations and Business functions for accounting and costing issues.
Close cooperation with the RTR/AP Regional Shares Service Centre located in another European country.
Other adhoc requests, financial analysis, reports and Finance projects.

Monthly financial closure, Forecasting and Reporting

Monthly BS and P&L account reconciliations, journal entry postings, analysis and reporting.
Provides insightful month end analytical reporting to deliver context and implications of the financial results, trends, risks and opportunities.
Inventory detailed reconciliation and analysis.
Supports the preparation of the annual budget, quarterly, monthly, weekly forecasts.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of strong proficiency in SAP FI CO is a must.
3+ years of standard cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
3+ years of experience performing product cost analysis and manufacturing variance analysis (material, labor, overhead, and hours).
Knowledge of Italian accounting & tax regulations and US GAAP.
Strong numerical skills, analytical thinking, careful structured approach applying accounting acumen related to a manufacturing environment.
Understanding of internal controls, experience with SOX processes.
Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
Advanced levels of English and Italian languages.
