Alvarez & Marsal Deutschland GmbH in Milan, Italy, seeks an Indirect Tax professional to deliver VAT advisory work and grow the Italy Indirect Tax practice. You will collaborate with Managing Directors on VAT projects, advise on transactions and restructurings, and manage client portfolios with a focus on practical, business-oriented tax solutions.

The role requires strong VAT knowledge, Italian/English communication, and experience in a leading advisory environment.

Competenze

• Experience in indirect tax / VAT within a Big 4 or leading advisory firm.
• Strong technical knowledge of VAT, with exposure to transactions or international work.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality work.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team development.
• Strong communication skills in Italian and English.
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g. chartered accountant or tax qualification) preferred.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.

Mansioni

• Work with Managing Directors on VAT advisory projects.
• Advise clients on VAT aspects of transactions, restructurings, and supply chain changes.
• Manage a portfolio of clients, delivering practical, commercially driven tax advice.
• Oversee compliance requirements while maintaining an advisory-led focus.
• Ensure technical accuracy and commercial relevance.
• Manage multiple engagements, budgets, and client relationships.
• Contribute to cross-border projects with colleagues across A&M’s European network.
• Support business development to grow Italy Indirect Tax offerings.
